曲轴箱内的机油不可多加，也不能少加，机油过多会增加曲柄连杆机构的转动阻力，还会使飞溅到气缸壁上的机油增多。机油过多会导致燃烧室积碳增加，发动机功率降低，从而会影响到排放。车主在检查或添加机油的时候，应按照机油标尺上面的刻度添加，机油液位高不能过标尺刻度上限，低不能低于标尺刻度下线，机油液位通常添加到两刻度中间偏上的位置比较合适。
